Our experience has shown us that clients who manage successful ERP projects do three things very well. Those three Keys to managing a successful Oracle EnterpriseOne project are:

Build a strong project team. This includes Senior
Management's complete support of the project, and selecting the
best people for the job. The best people are often the busiest, working
on several projects at one time. Make sure their time is allocated
to this project.
Don’t make compromises. If you can’t get the best people
on the team, postpone the project!

Test. Then test again. Include key users from all
of the appropriate departments to participate in extensive testing.
All issues need to be worked out prior to "go-live." Don’t leave even the “smallest” issue
to work itself out. Chances are that if issues remain, they will have
negative cascading effects in the future.

Hire the right consulting partner and work together as a team.
An experienced service provider might very well be able to run your
project without you. However, that will put you in a very challenging
situation after "go-live" when you are responsible for managing
the system. The right partner wil insist that you and your people play
an integral part of the entire project so that the project becomes
a long-term success.
